    • I am going to keep this review short and sweet. I saw many reviews referencing these cables not being able to handle 4K HDR or support 4:4:4 chroma at 60Hz. While I cannot speak for the configurations of other users, I can confirm the following: Using this cable on a Samsung KS8500, I can confirm that...
    • Macs with Thunderbolt can support a refresh rate up to 60Hz, while HDMI can support 24Hz or 30Hz due to bandwidth limitations of the HDMI 1.4 spec. Apple has yet to release Macs with HDMI 2.0, which can drive 4K and 5K displays at up to 60Hz.
    • Dec 20, 2018 · HDMI 1.4: Supports video resolution up to 4K (4096 x 2160 pixels) at 24 Hz, 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) at 30 Hz, and has a bandwidth of 10.2 Gbps HDMI 2.0: Supports video resolution up to 4K at 60 Hz with later versions including HDR capabilities, and has a bandwidth of 18 Gbps

    • The new one allows both monitors 4K at 59HZ (2160x3840). Even though under modes I see 2160 x 3840 True color (32 bit) 59 HZ and 60 HZ for one of the monitors (and 60 Hz) is selected only 59 Hz shows as the refresh rate. ON the other monitor only 59Hz shows up (with the previous identical model monitor (only 30 hz) showed up.
    • So: HDMI and DisplayPort can't do [email protected] without hacks. HDMI 2 is OK, but there are no video cards that do HDMI 2. DisplayPort 1.3 is also OK, but there are no monitors or video cards that use it. DisplayPort 1.2 can do 4k by pretending the monitor is two 1920x2160 monitors and using two DisplayPort streams.
    • Dec 14, 2015 · As you can see, the 4K display flickers on and off. If I disable Displayport 1.2 on the Monitor OSD, it works fine, but I'm stuck at 30Hz and 3840 x 2160. With DisplayPort 1.2 enabled on the monitor, I should be able to get 60Hz at 4096 x 2160 resolution, but it flickers as seen in the video.

    • The Blackbird™ 4K Pro HDMI® 2.0 Repeater allows you to extend HDMI signals at resolutions up to [email protected] and distances up to 75 feet, with support for HDCP™ 2.2.
    • The practical difference is that [email protected] can support sources up to 60 frames per second, such as a video game, or potentially a 60fps 4k broadcast like sports or racing. The unmentioned difference is that [email protected] limitation implies HDMI 1.4, so no HDR or other new HDMI 2.0/2.1 features.
    • I have notice the difference between 30hz and 60hz is very obvious. 144Hz is delightlfully smooth, but just some considerations so you aren't disappointed in the out of box experience depending on your hardware.

I run 4k/30 on my computer monitor, but I don't watch many videos or anything.

    • Hello, I've noticed that if I set my portal to 4k 30Hz it outputs 10-bit 4:4:4 color, which is fantastic as I get Netflix and youtube HDR. However, if I set to 4k 60Hz it drops to 8-bit 4:2:0. HDMI 2.0 has enough bandwidth for 10-bit 4:2;2. Any ideas on why the Xi6 goes to 8-bit? Thanks

One HDMI port says [email protected] and the other 4 ports say [email protected] The tv manual says the 60hz is for high velocity for gaming but will I see the benefits of that on the old PS4 or would I need the pro?

Not all 4K splitters are created equal. While some HDMI 1.4 splitters can achieve 4K resolutions, they'll only work at a 30Hz refresh rate.

Getting HDMI to work properly on a hackintosh whether it be displaying [email protected] or actually getting HDMI to display anything at all other than a black screen can be tricky especially for those that don’t know HDMI has problems working on a hackintosh especially at 4k or high refresh rates. (That and the fact that 120 Hz TVs often tend to have higher specifications in other areas than the 60 Hz units from the same manufacturer - so people say "oh look how great 120 Hz is" when in fact it's just the fact that the TV has higher contrast ratio/brightness/viewing angle, unrelated to refresh rate.)-----
